Monday April 5

$12.75 scale fish, $2.76 catfish. Lovely day. Tricia had earache last nite, hurt a little this afternoon. Mopped floors, washed two loads clothes, ironed some. Dady came down about 4:30, brought the girls a clump of a flycatcher plant, Venus fly trap I think. Planted it in a damp spot. Put out 4 more lines here. Saw a special on T.V. "Let My People Go," was really touching, so sad and brave.

Venus Fly Trap

My research shows that the Venus Fly Trap grows naturally in North and South Carolina only. That said, other carnivorous plants do grow in Florida. My research turned up a book, Florida’s Carnivorous Plants, by Kenny Coogan. Not only that, I learned that there’s an International Carnivorous Plant Society!
