Hot! Bad thunderstorm started around 5:30, still lightning, raining at 10pm. What a lot of thunder and lightning. Most rain I‘ve seen since a hurricane. Took truck back to Bobby, this a.m., the trouble was a valve rod off, wasn’t tightened when they fixed the truck. Fixed it, no charge. We bought 2 more screens, $3.60, put them up. Took Peggy to S.S. party at 3. Took $35 from bank to pay Earl Lamb. Paid elec. and phone bill. Renewed library card, took a box of magazines to library. Couldn’t let Peg at 6:30, was storming too bad. Finally left at 7:15, got back at 8:15. Didn’t stop anywhere, just slow driving. She had fun. Ray tried to get shrimp aft., none.
