Monday April 12, 1965

Warm, sunny, still very dry. Ray had $5.12 catfish, $6.90 scale fish. Went to town after ice. Took nap after lunch. Sleepy from the movie, got up 5.45. Baited with the may flies I caught Thursday. Put out 4 lines East Lake. Ray’s parents, Bud Hill, Murry Tanner came the same time, after may flies. Had a late supper, tired. Don't feel like I accomplished a thing today. Sent order to Sears, Spiegels, mailed M.O’s. Called Dr. Whaley, he'll be out to give Destry his shot, next week. Ray left with them about 10:30, wind changed. I racked 1/2 a line, quit after 11 o'clock, we finally got to bed about 12:30. Only a few may flies. Ray's Dady had the stitches out of his face, lab report showed was cancer but the Dr. is sure he got all of it.
