Thursday March 4, 1965

Cloudy and few showers in the morning. Hot real windy after dinner. Ray caught bait but was too windy to put out. Always something. Hard west wind again. Tricia went to school, Peggy's better. Mrs. Scholz came over a.m. Parts man came also, nothing, wrong with my washer, belt was slipping a little, motor is O.K. Washed a load, hung them in the barn. Ray and I visited Mr. Scholz, he’s better. Ray went down and rode Gypsy for a while, she just bucked a little he said. He rode her down here, she walks so pretty, full of spirit. Baked some lemon cupcakes. Found 5 tiny dead rats under the cabinet by the stove. Uggg! Must be from the one Ray caught last week. It must have come in the hole in the screen. Awful windy, turned pretty cold.
