The wind stopped blowing this morning! Cold, sunny. Ray caught bait, put out 4 shrimp in Orange Co. Lake Butler. Got my ironing nearly caught up. The Scholz's are flying home at 7 am Wed, his heart is acting up so he must get home. His son is to meet them at airport, have heart specialist and room at Johns Hopkins. They spent nite with Mrs. Gauch, she’s to take them to airport. I went to tell them good by, hope they make it alright.
Lake Butler
Lake Butler would have been at least 45 minutes from home. Ray typically put out his lines closer to home, but farther he went the more desperate he was to catch something.
Ironing
Ironing features frequently in Myrtle’s journals. She made the majority of their clothing and it was important to her that the family look as good as possible.
