Saturday March 6
Colder, still hard west wind. Ray picked up his lines, he was in that river and those tiny lakes. Had $26.00. Took them to fish house. Peggy still has cough, congestion, Tricia had earache when we came home last nite. Washed 2 loads, incl. all sheets. They almost blew away but did get dry. Mopped floors. Made big pot of stew for supper. Racked 3 trays, Ray did a line. Cut 2 amaryllis blooms, wind was ruining them, are pretty. Prepared some material for S.S., will take it by in morning, will have short S.S. long church, but just extra long S.S. for nursery. Feel bad about missing tomorrow, its my place to be there. Will be hard on Bea and Mrs. Hall, Kaven will help tho.
Amaryllis
It's so fun to read Myrtle’s journals and see the very same things happening today. This amaryllis bloom, currently in my backyard, comes from one of my great grandparent's plants. In Florida, amaryllis typically bloom in the spring. They always remind me that Easter is coming.
